The Northumberland Small Business Service (NSBS) is a fully-funded service that delivers a range of business support services to businesses, ambitious innovators and creative thinkers across Northumberland. The service has a particular focus on supporting businesses to unlock the barriers to growth.
The North East Rural Growth Programme is funded by the North East Mayoral Strategic Authority (North East MSA), with Northumberland County Council acting as the Lead Delivery Partner, supported by Durham County Council, Gateshead Council, Northumberland National Park Authority, Food and Drink North East Limited, and North East Enterprise Agency.
Growth and Resilience Support is available to all Northumberland based businesses that are currently trading. Businesses registering on the programme will be matched with a dedicated Business Adviser who will work with you to understand your business, identify opportunities, and develop a tailored plan for sustainable growth and resilience.
Have you got an idea for a business? Solved a problem or developed something that could be commercialised? Our Enterprise support is designed for individuals at pre-start stage. This dedicated, tailored support will help you explore your idea, develop your plans, and take the first steps towards launching and growing your business.
Delivered in partnership with Food and Drink North East, this tailored support is designed specifically for Northumberland’s food and drink businesses. Access specialist advice, dedicated one-to-one support, and sector-focused expertise to help your business grow, reach new markets, and build long-term resilience.
Through the North East Rural Growth programme, the NSBS programme also offers a service specifically for Farm enterprises in Northumberland and across the North East Region to assist in the growth and resilience of farming businesses as well as exploring opportunities for diversification.
